Go Away

Because sometimes they really are out to get you, I bring you fear in 140 characters.

Curled in a ball, covers drawn up to her neck, she lay frozen in her bed.

She could hear them.
“Go away!” she whispered.
But, they keep coming.

Shakin’ Hands

“Nice ta meetcha.” He offered his hand and his name, “Mark.”

“Yes, of course you are.” She bit the inside of her cheek to suppress a chuckle.
